Guro Rugstad Jenssen is a free-lance screenwriter and film director based in Oslo, Norway.
She produces her own short films and develops documentary pilots and feature screenplays. Four of nine short films made as school exercises have screened at international festivals, or been sold to Norwegian broadcasting or video market. She has experience with both narrative, documentary, experimental and dance film.
Guro`s passionate interest for film developed as she worked as a film reporter for The Students' Radio in Bergen. She earned her MFA in motion picture/video at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco in 2002, adding to her 4 years degree Cand.Mag from the University of Bergen, Norway, in comparative literature, art history and social anthropology. She speaks fluently English, French, Spanish and Italian.
